Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Did you know that breast cancer is the most common cancer among Australian women? It affects nearly 13,000 females a year and accounts for nearly a third of all female cancer diagnoses[1].

A breast cancer diagnosis can devastate a family. And those who recover can be away from work and/or family duties for months. Trauma or Critical Illness cover pays you a lump sum should you be diagnosed with a specified illness like cancer.

I recently interviewed one of my clients who was diagnosed with breast cancer and received a full payment from her insurer. [Watch her story here] (11 mins) or [read the short case study].

I believe this type of cover, alongside Income Protection, is invaluable to women of all ages.

To recognise and support Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are offering:

    1. Free Life Stages and Claims Report. [Click here] to receive your report.
    2. For new clients who join our client community[2] and take out personal risk insurance before 31 December 2012 and for any existing client who refers a friend, entry into a draw for a gift valued at $200 from Make A Strand, boutique jewellery design house.
    3. We will donate to the Cancer Council 5% of the first years' annual premium of every trauma policy taken up prior to 31 December 2012.

A trauma payment can help pay off the mortgage, pay medical bills and meet the myriad of other financial stresses that potentially arise when faced with breast cancer.
